Of my 11+ years in the field of design, 7 belong solely to the UI/UX realm. In these 7 years- in various capacities, locations, and circumstances- following are the 6 key roles I have played:

UX Designer

Across many wireframes and user flows for web, mobile, and kiosk experiences, I’ve engaged the storyteller in me, which makes my everyday work much more entertaining and inviting to me!

UI Designer

Over the 50+ projects delivered, as a student, employee, or an entrepreneur, I’ve crafted polished UI designs with a focus on accessibility and consistency, and core value being ‘strategic’.

Researcher

I have conducted several surveys, user interviews, accessibility & usability testings, and synthesized insights to uncover problems, validate hypotheses, and inform design strategies.

Design Strategist

My role in Design Strategy primarily includes my 2 years of experience in Design Thinking workshops’ facilitation (+ consultation) for some prominent companies in the BFSI sector in India.

The “ish” represents my confusion in whether I should categorize my passion projects as entrepreneurial or not. I love working on new ideas, and shaping them into a viable products.

I am Sashank Mullapudi, a designer by profession and a storyteller and mini-games creator by passion. Despite having 2 degrees and 7 years of work experience under my belt, my proudest attribute remains to be my ability to make things gamified, fun, simple, and easy-to-get.

Though most of my professional career falls under the umbrella of UI/UX Design, I have walked multiple other paths that include Architecture, UX Research, Workshop Facilitation, Branding, and Design Strategy. I am very passionate about human psychology, and I enjoy creating process-driven, empathetic designs.

I have lived in 13 cities so far, which I believe helped me develop the ability to adapt quickly and thrive in dynamic environments. Each move has given me valuable exposure to different cultures, perspectives, and the fundamentals of human behavior. It definitely catered to my fondness in meeting new people and learning from them.
